Onward and Upward

Today's trip up the 101 was a beautiful one! All this rain has made California's Central Coast the most beautiful place we've been yet.

First, we stopped in Camarillo and parked the horse at the famous Camarillo outlets where we passed out information on Prop. 93 and spoke with shoppers-- I think we were even able to sway a few votes! Everyone seemed pretty jazzed from the Republican debate the night before.

From Camarillo we headed through Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Luis Obsipo where we were able to chat with hundreds of eager voters and tell them the truth about Prop. 93's deception.

Needless to say the horse has been a big hit.

We're off to Salinas tomorrow where the horse should feel right at home in Steinbeck country.

Today was so fun!

Today's stop on the Trojan Horse Truth Tour was so much fun. We stopped in sunny downtown Los Angeles to pour a little french wine in front of Speaker Nunez's office and to warn voters in Los Angeles about Prop. 93.

Former California Republican Chairman Mike Schroeder was on hand (pictured) and discussed his strong opposition to this measure and why he plans on opposing it.

Needless to say, a large, wooden horse attracted a ton of attention downtown. A small crowd gathered around Mike and we proposed a toast to Prop. 93's defeat.

As you probably know, Election Day is just a few days away and we are eagerly looking forward to finding out the results.

It's time for us to hit the road again... tomorrow we'll be hitting up the Central Coast. It should be great!

We had a great stop today, as the Truth Tour rolled into Orange County.

Elected officials from around the area stopped by El Camino Park in the City of Orange to chat with voters and reporters about what a scam Prop 93 is.

Our headliners, Orange Mayor Carolyn Cavecche and Corona Mayor Jeff Miller did an awesome job getting our message out as the morning went on and were able to talk to many voters who were attracted to our large, wooden horse.

"Voters don't want to keep the same politicians who racked up a $14 billion deficit in office one day longer than necessary!" observed Jeff Miller.

Where do we go next? Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Neither rain nor sleet nor wind nor snow...

Hello from the campaign trail!

It was a misty and gray day in San Diego but the weather had little effect on our buoyant spirits. We were joined by Lani Lutar of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association and by the mayor of Encinitas, Jerome Stocks. We took the horse down to Seaport Village, one of the most beautiful places we've seen so far. In fact, it turned into one of the more hilarious stops-- but who knows what tomorrow will bring!

We were in the parking lot at Seaport Village chatting with reporters and letting them know that Prop. 93 is clearly a sham when a police car pulled up. To make sure all was OK with us being there, we sent over one of our campaign volunteers to let them know we would move the horse if it was a problem. Although, truth be told, we were prepared to ask (beg) for a few more minutes so we could hold our press conference -- it was a GREAT location! But guess what? It seems our Trojan Horse Truth Tour even captured the attention of San Diego’s Finest -- they just wanted their photo taken with the horse! And, of course, we shared with them the truth behind Prop. 93

When we get back to the world of high-speed internet connections, we'll upload the photo-- it's priceless.

We're loving interacting with voters from all over California and can't wait to see the results on Election Day. It's been so much fun.

Happy Friday!

Well, things are rolling along nicely for the Trojan Horse Truth Tour. We are driving around Southern California today letting voters know the truth about Prop. 93. We are especially fired up today given the PPIC poll's results. Like we've been saying-- the more people get to know about this measure, they less they like it!

Barry Nestande over at the FlashReport has a great post about the Tour today. To read it, click here.

Today's photo comes from our stop yesterday in Palm Springs. Our "wrangler" Brandon Powers was joined by Indio's mayor Lupe Watson for a great event in the desert.

Hope to see you on the tour!

Horsing around in Palm Springs

Well, did you guess correctly? The Trojan Horse Truth Tour headed into the Wild West of Palm Springs this morning. We were thrilled to see the Associated Press reporting that the Field Poll has support for Prop. 93 tanking. It seems the more than 938 miles we've traveled so far is making a difference!

Indio Mayor Pro-Tem Lupe Watson did an excellent job conveying just what a mess Prop 93 really is. We were thrilled to see her and to warn desert voters about this dishonest initiative.

By the way, have you seen the new "No" ad? It's hilarious. You can watch a YouTube of it below.

We'll see you on the road!

Moving South!

It was a busy day for the Trojan Horse Truth Tour! We made a few stops today and held events in San Bernardino and Riverside. San Bernardino was a lot of fun and we were able to reach tons of voters who were a little surprised to see a large, wooden horse parked near their morning coffee stop!

In the afternoon we headed to Riverside where we parked near Michael Burger and caught lots of satisfied customers on their way out from lunch. We're eagerly anticipating tonight's Field Poll results and are hopeful that this measure is sinking fast!

We were visited by Riverside Press-Enteprise reporter Shirin Parsavand and you can read her account of our visit here.

887 miles so far, and I think we'll break 1,000 by tomorrow. Any ideas where we will be?
